THE AI SECRETS OF YOUR PHONE
GOT AN IPHONE 16 OR PIXEL 9? GO RIGHT AHEAD AND TRY OUT THESE FOUR AMAZING AI FEATURES TO GET MORE OUT OF THESE SUPER PHONES!
Get your phone to write for you
To improve your writing, simply turn to AI on your iPhone or Pixel to spot errors and even rewrite in the preferred tone. While the iPhone’s are called Writing Tools, available by long pressing in the writing area of many native apps (like Notes), Google’s come as part of the Pixel’s interface, and appear in the form of a cluster of tiny stars.
Create images
AI on your smartphone can also create images. Go to Image Playground on iPhone or Pixel Studio on Pixel, and type in the kind of picture you want. Image Playground is still in beta on the iPhone, but is expected to arrive soon. On the Pixel, you can also use Gemini to create a picture – long-press the home button and speak out the kind of image you want.
Get super summaries
If you do not have the time to go through detailed notes, mails or websites, just ask your iPhone or Pixel to summarise it for you. If you want to summarise a web page on the iPhone, you just have to head to the Reader section of the Safari browser and choose Summary, while on a Pixel, this is even simpler – just go to the site on Chrome, launch the Gemini assistant, choose Ask About this Screen, and ask for a summary.
Clean backgrounds
Both the iPhone and the Pixel come with AI tools that let you remove objects from images, without harming the original image. In the iPhone, you can use the Clean Up tool in the Photos app to circle what you want removed from your image. On the Pixel, the same task is carried out by the AI Magic Eraser tool in the Photos app.
